1] Has the  Chief Executive  the POWER to tap the telephones of  County Councillors? According to  the Portfolio Holder for Corporate Support, he HAS!!

2] Has the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, the MEANS of accessing internal e-mails from county councillors to their colleagues? If the evidence of the e-mail receipt function is to be believed, she, together with the Chief Executive's department, HAS!!

3] Have Senior Officers  the AUTHORITY to override the decisions of  Executive members? According to the Portfolio Holder for the Economy, they HAVE!!

4) Are Senior Officers ACCOUNTABLE to County Councillors for the execution of Council policies and the statutory duties imposed by Westminster? According to the evidence amassed on this web-site, they ARE NOT!!

QUESTIONS POSED BY THIS INCREDIBLE QUADRUPLE WHAMMY.

1] For how much longer, have the descendants of those who famously demanded to know the reason why, together with those who have more recently joined our community, to put up with this palpably undemocratic nonsense?

2] In the face of such serious irregularities, why are the elected representatives of the our community at all levels so quiet, M.P.s included, and why, in particular, are so many County Councillors acquiescent and failing the people of Cornwall by not raising the roof at County Hall?
